Berekum On The Spot As Dr Bawumia Cut SoD for Berekum Roads and Former President John Dramani Promises A Municipal Hospital and A University for The People

dawumiadramaniBerekum has been on the spot for September as the three most important political leaders visit the town to outline what they have in stock for the people of Berekum.

The President, Nana Addo was there on Thursday 10th September 2020 to inspect the Weddi Tomato factory under the one district one factory initiative and promised, among other things, to pay all defunct DKM customers.

The Vice President of the republic followed exactly two weeks after the president’s visit on Thursday, 24th September 2020 to cut the sod for the commencement of the Sinohydro road projects which will see some 52km of roads in the next four years. Dr Bawumia emphasized that the monies for the projects are ready and thus Sofo Kyere and Kyerebaa roads will commence soon.

He was received by the paramount chief, Daasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II as he showed his sincere appreciation and requested for a technical and vocational school for the people of Berekum. The aspiring Member of Parliament for Berekum East, Mr Nelson Kyeremeh was outdoor by Dr Bawumia at the function.

 

On Monday, 28th of September, 2020, former president John Dramani Mahama also made a stop at Berekum to interact with the people and was received by the queen mother, Nana Akosua Ameahene III at the Berekum Palace. The NDC flagbearer promised to build a municipal hospital, a university campus, legalize the operations of ‘Pragya’ Tricycles and Okada, build a vocational school among other things if voted into power.

The queen mother made a passionate appeal to him that if he gets the nod from the good people of Ghana, he should build a modern sports stadium in Berekum which will be named after him.

Mr Simon Ampabeng Kyeremeh was outdoor by his Excellency former President John Dramani as the parliamentary candidate of Berekum East.
