Nananom and Parent Association Ask For More Support as They Break Ground for New KG Block at Domfete R/C Basic School

The Traditional Authority and Parent Association (PA) of Domfete Roman Catholic Basic School in the Berekum West District have cut the sod for the construction of a new Kindergarten (KG) block.

The current KG block is in a deplorable state, posing a danger to the pupils. The project, initiated by the PA and Nananom of Domfete, led by Osabarima Kusi Yeboah II, aims to provide a safe and conducive learning environment.

Speaking during the sod-cutting ceremony, Osabarima Kusi Yeboah II expressed gratitude to the PA for their contribution. He acknowledged the efforts of the PA despite the challenges and emphasized that the project will enhance the school's infrastructure. He also stressed that education is the most valuable asset we can give to future generations and called on individuals, corporate bodies, NGOs, the Berekumman citizens Association, the MP, and DCE to support the project.

The PA Chairman, Mr. Kwame Dramani, advised parents to pay their dues to support the project, as government alone cannot fund it. He thanked Nananom for their cooperation and emphasized the need for collective effort to complete the project.

Rev. Father Olisameka, the Associate Priest of St. John's, expressed the parish's gratitude to the Traditional Authority, Parent Associations (PA), and all who are contributing to the school's progress.

The Assistant Headmaster of Domfete R/C, Mr. Stephen Gyawu Gyesi, expressed gratitude for the long-awaited KG block, while the Assemblyman for Domfete, Abi electoral area, Hon. Kyere Godfred, emphasized that the project is a self-help initiative and called on all to support the artisans to make the construction viable for the pupils to benefit from."
