Hon. Dr. Kwabena Twum Nuamah, MP of Berekum East joined Catholics of the ST. Theresa of Avila parish in Berekum on Good Friday to worship with them.
In a brief massage, he acknowledged the support and prayers he had received from members of the church and thank them accordingly.
He then entreated all members to encourage their wards especially, those who are taking this year’s WASSCE exams to desist from all malpractices. He reiterated, malpractices go a long way in affecting the student especially when they are caught. Indeed he made it known that last year, Brong Ahafo was ranked first in examinations malpractices which saw several schools getting various papers being cancelled. He noted that, what is even more appalling is Berekum was second on the list of malpractices in the region according to the West Africa Examination council last year.
He thus pleaded with all stakeholders to help deal with this menace to help salvage the name of Berekum and the credibility of students and pupils from the Brong Ahafo region and especially from the Berekum municipality.
