Bombisco productions on the 12th of this month organised the first workers’ awards if not the first public awards ceremony in Berekum.
The awards seek to honour various workers in Berekum who have distinguished themselves in executing their duties, thus contributing to the development of Berekum.
The event brought together variety of personalities from diverse wards of life including some of very prominent individuals from Berekum and executives from the corporate world . It also served as a platform for people to meet old friends and make new ones.
The organisers also took the opportunity to raise funds to support the Berekum Holy family Hospital.
The event was graced by a spectacular performance from Superintendent Kofi Sarpong, a local.
A magazine which features all the award winners and their profiles is scheduled to be out by Friday, 17thof August, 2012.
