Ghana youth defender Daniel Opare is aiming to earn a permanent place in the Black Stars set- up following a solid rock second half display against England.
The 20-year-old acquitted himself when he was introduced into the game in the second half to replace the unimpressive Lee Addy and he stopped the surging run of Stewart Downing.
“It was a wonderful for me and a chance to prove what I can do and I think did well and this is what I need to serve as a motivation for me,” Opare told GHANAsoccernet.com
‘It’s important it doesn’t get over myself and continue to train hard so I get a permanent place in the team.”
Opare has been in awesome form for Standard Liege in the Belgian League since joining from Real Madrid last summer.
He played a bit-part role in Ghana’s winning of the 2009 Fifa Under-20 World Cup in Egypt.
