The Ghanaian right back has had a difficult season under Mark Hughes and says he has come to the firm conclusion that his future lies elsewhere with his contract due to expire at the end of the season.
"I haven't spoken about it before but there is no future for me at Fulham. I know my agent is working hard to resolve the situation," he toldKickOffGhana.com.
"It has been a difficult season for me. I have made mistakes and I will be the first to admit but to go from a first team member to having to watch the game from the stands has been difficult to take."
Paintsil who joined Fulham from West Ham two seasons ago was a first team player under Roy Hodgson but found his opportunities limited under Mark Hughes after a string of errors in the opening weeks of the season.
He worked his way back into first team reckoning but own goals against Liverpool and Aston Villa sealed his fate.
