The youth group which comprise of  a cross section of the youth from different political background, different towns, and different religious background held a demonstration to put out their displeasure on the way the chieftaincy issues are handled, on the 2nd of January, 2012.

A petition was submitted to the Brong Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs (BAHC), asking to expedite the resolution process. They however suggested an out-of-court settlement to the house. Similar suggestions were also submitted to the two factions in dispute on the 3rd of January this year.

On the 10th of January, 2012, the leadership of the movement met with the BACH president, Osahene Kwaku Aterkyi II, also the Kukuomhene, to have a thorough discussion on the issues of the dispute and the motives of the movement.

On the 11th of January, 2012, Berekum For Progress received a copied letter from the BAHC to all the parties in dispute suggesting, the out-of-court process (ADR) to help resolve the dispute amicably in the shortest possible time.

The letter went on to ask the various parties to submit all their concerns to the house by 16th of January 2012 in order to facilitate the process.

Berekum For Progress has submitted letters to the various religious institutions in Berekum to aid in prayer to speed up the process in order for Berekum to have a substantive chief recognised by all.

They are also appealing to all people from Berekum and people with Berekum at heart to help in any way they can, to help achieve the status Berekum once occupied.
