Berekum West MP Constructs and Commissions a Maternity Ward with Logistic to Nkyekyemamu and Donates Several Items to Two other Communities.

maternitywardThe MP for Berekum West who doubles as the Deputy Minister for Railways, Hon Kwaku Agyenim Boateng (Agoogo) on Friday, 20th of December, 2019 commissioned a maternity Ward and a list of health items to the Nkyekyemamu Health centre in the Berekum West district of the Bono region.

The centre was a CHPS compound with only one room for clinical works, people within the community had to travel to nearby towns during times of delivery. The Honorable MP felt this was unacceptable and decided to put up a maternity ward for them with the needed logistics to work.

Earlier this year in October, the Amankwokwaa CHPS compound put up a plead of support for logistics to enable the facility to function properly. The MP heeded to their plea and have donated, hospital beds, fridges, weighing machine, office chairs, client waiting-chairs, TV, office tables, office locker to the facility after donating the same set of items to Nkyekyemamu and Botokrom health centres.

 

healthItemsThe MP also donated 57 dual desk each to these communities and assured that there are about 20 thousand desks which is available for distribution to all the schools in the constituency to end the inconvenience pupils go through due to unavailability of comfortable seats.

He also hinted that there over 200 chairs and tables to made available to staff of the various schools in the Berekum West Constituency.

He pleaded with the health and education directorates to put in good use the donated items and maintain them. He assured his many plans for the health and education directorates in the Berekum West district to make them resourceful

Madam Agnes Aseidu the health director of Berekum West district thanked the lawmaker for his kind gesture. She promised the edifice and all the donated items will be put into good use for the people of the aforementioned communities in the Berekum West district and also ask for more support because the health directorate has many challenges.
