The Chief of Berekum Kutre No1 in the Bono region Nana Kwasi Gyan Nyarko Aboronoma III has disclosed he gets a sleepless night over the poor state of security in his town and nearby towns.
In an exclusive interview with Berekumcity.Com said, notorious people are taking over the town. Nana pointed out that there have been several incidents of armed robbers attacking bikers, burglary, theft of livestock among others.
He’s therefore appealing to the Berekum Divisional police Commander ACP Ebenezer Ampofo and the MCE of Berekum (East) Municipal Assembly, Hon Kofi Adjei, Berekum Citizens Association, Philanthropist, NGOs and Individual's to put up a police station in close proximity to Mpatapo, Kutre No 1, Kutre No2 , Zabon Zongo ,Namasua and Oforikrom to help curb the situation in these areas.
He finally urged network operators like such as MTN, Vodafone, to help improve the network issues in the area since it’s very difficult getting the right signal to communicate and thus in a situation of emergency, it can result in very serious consequences for people in those areas.
