Berekum Chelsea Moves To 2nd Position As They End Their one-goal Project

Berekum Chelsea in their matchday 12 fixture against King Faisal FC ended the criticized ‘one-goal project’ in a splendid win at the Berekum Golden City Park. The Blues had not scored more than a single goal this season, thus the one-goal project.

But in a beautiful spectacle of football displayed by the Blues on Sunday 1st of March, 2020 at the Golden City Park, they thrashed King Faisal in a 4-2 victory, thus ending ‘the project’.

Stephen Amankonah Opened the lead in the 15th minute through a beautiful header, but the King Faisal boys who played very well up-front were rewarded through beautiful lob, by Ibrahim Osman over goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim, putting the game in parity in the 26th minute.

Amankona got the second goal by connecting through a header from a beautiful cross-in by League Winner, Kissi Boateng, 3 minutes after King Faisal’s equalizer.

Jordan Opoku extended the lead of the Blues to 3 goals, 7 minutes into the second half, tapping in from a free-kick from Kissi Boateng. Richard Kissi Boateng sealed the game, making it 4 for the Blues in the 65th minute.

King Faisal’s Frimpong Boateng got a consolation in the 68th minute through a spectacular long-range, making the final score 4 goals to 2.

The Blues will be Playing Techiman Eleven Wonders on Sunday 8th of February, 2020 in Techiman in their matchday 13 fixture.

Berekum Chelsea is currently 2nd on the table with equal points as Aduana Stars who are the league leader with 23 points.
