Ghana beat Nigeria in the decisive last round of qualifying of the 2011 All African Games on Sunday July 10, to qualify for the games in Maputo.
The Black Meteors overturned a 3-1 defeat to Nigeria in the first leg, by scoring two unanswered goals at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
As many as seven changes made up of foreign-based players, were made to the team to boost Ghana's chances after the first leg.
Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu opened the scoring for Ghana in the 11th minute from a freekick before Richard Mpong sealed qualification with 20 minutes to go.
The Black Meteors thus secure the sole Zone III ticket for the Games to be staged by Mozambique later in September 2011.
