Berekum Citizens Association has presented a cash amount of five thousand Ghana cedis (5000) to support ten-year-old Griffith Tambea’s surgery at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (GEE), Kumasi.
Berekum Citizens Association got to know that a ten-year-old boy is admitted at Berekum Holy family Hospital suffering from a cerebral abscess and needs to be operated on soon to save his life.
Berekum Citizens Association local acting Chairman Professor Obeng Ofori on behalf of both local members and members abroad presented five thousand Ghana cedis to the Holy family Hospital management and the mother of the children on the 4th May of 2020.
During the presentation, Professor Obeng Ofori said the Association wants to see the child alive because children are the future leaders. He told Dr. Salamat who received the presentation that if there is any additional support needed, the hospital management should not hesitate to inform the Association. He advised them to use speed up the necessary process to relieve him of his pains. He thanked the hospital for the support since the child was admitted.
On behalf of the Holy Family Hospital, Dr. Salamat thanked the Berekum Citizens Association for their support to save the child. He assured the Berekum Citizens Association that the child will soon be operated on.
The mother of the child Madam Mary Yeboah thanked and blessed the Association for the support to them. She acknowledged the money donated by Berekum citizens Association comes as a big relief as it will help cushion her on the financial burden towards the treatment of her son.
