E-Mydia Events, an entertainment powerhouse known for organising events such as Sing Aloud, Face of JHS, Face of SHS, and Face of Senase, climaxed its maiden edition of Miss Berekum on Saturday 10th September 2022 as they crowned Brightina Kyeraa of Koraso as the winner of Miss Berekum.
The keenly contested beauty pageant saw eight beautiful ladies from their respective communities, hoping to win the enviable crown over several months of activities.
The pageant aims at projecting the customs and culture of Berekum by giving young girls between the ages of 18 to 29 years the opportunity to undertake an impactful project after winning. The pageant grooms the contestant on cultural values, presentation skills, confidence and the ability to communicate effectively, among other things.
Brightina takes home a brand new motorbike. GHS1,500 for her project, one year working with Hennes TV, among other prizes. Her project will focus on helping school dropouts get back to school. She will start with the distribution of 1000 exercise books to identify dropouts.
The show was graced by known faces like Honourable Opoku Boakye Yiadom, former MCE for Berekum, The CEO of Hunters Family, and some chiefs and elders of the Berekum traditional council.
The next edition is scheduled for September 2023 but the process begins in February 2023. Official dates will be communicated to the public by the event organisers in due course.
