The Friends of health association (FOHA) on Sunday 21st October, 2012, organized an HIV workshop for the people of Senase, Berekum to create awareness on the ways to prevent the disease and the need to take a test to know their status.
The association also took the opportunity to conduct free blood pressure (BP) assessment for the 190 people in the community.
This forms part of a series of outreaches untaken by the association, aimed at creating awareness for the various communities and schools in Berekum municipality.
They’ve so far reached over 3000 individuals, teaching them ways to prevent the disease and the need to take up the HIV test to know your status and the hope there for them.
The organization exists to teach people to be conscious of their health and to provide free basic health care services to them.
