The recently born Berekumman Citizens/Dwellers Association has started development works in the Berekum City. The exuberant association is barely four (4) months old but has started providing road markings and lines on the main Berekum-Sunyani Highway- (From the main roundabout to Kato).
To begin with, they have started with Zebra Crossings and Markings on the centre pavement on the highway.
The group decided to undertake this exercise to help curb road accidents and to allow easy movement of pedestrians. This initiative is purely a Voluntary Service. The Members are executing this by taking time off their busy schedules every evening to do the markings. Other members are supporting the cause by providing water, energy drinks and the like to those volunteering. The Association is indeed promising and Berekum is beginning to take shape already.
It is our fervent prayer that the motivation and vibrant to-do spirit is kept burning to bring the vision of the association of bringing development, beauty and progress of the city to life.
