The CEO of EoHope and Queen Mother of Kato Traditional Area presented books and stationery to the people of Oforikurom, a farming community in Berekum. This donation was done through her Mobile Library Project which seeks to provide the less privileged access to a well-stocked library. The team also encouraged the kids in the area to read at least one book a week.
Nana Afia Siraa Ababio III, Executive Director of EoHope Foundation received an award this year, April 2018 from "Ghana Reads Initiative".This award was for her contributions through AKCOMLIP- GH Mat Reading Project during the "World Reading Day" celebrations at British Council in Accra.
"Ghana Reads" is a reading initiative by "Ghana Reads Initiative" which is also a project of the Pan African Poet/Spoken Word Artiste for the year 2016- Oswald Okaitei. This project is also a literary initiative geared towards children and the youth in Ghana at large to encourage them to develop the love for reading Ghanaian fictional literature books so as to bridge the gap between readers, authors, publishers and to also teach the importance of reading.
The chief and the people of Oforikurom expressed their profound gratitude for the kind gesture extended to them by the EoHope foundation.
