The 2nd edition of the Youth Empowerment Solution (YES) conference came off on Monday, the 5th of August, 2019 at the Berekum College of Education. The free event saw several of the youth coming through to tap into the knowledge of the astute speakers who graced the occasion.
The CEO of Youth Empowerment Solution (YES) Mr Bennet Nyarko told Berekumcity.com that, the association has over six hundred members of both sexes across the Bono region. In an exclusive interview with Mr Bennet Nyarko, he said it is their ambition to assist and equip all those with entrepreneurial ambitions to attain their dreams and shift the paradigm of the youth to be more entrepreneurial-minded.
A number of dignitaries were there to speak and shared their experience with the assembled youth.
The CEO of Golden city group of companies and Legend Real Estates, Legend Derick Obeng Mensah pledged to help the youth across the nation who are interested in entrepreneurship or to start something on their own. He encourages the youth with entrepreneurial dreams to approach for mentorship and capital to start up their ventures.
Other dignitaries present were Mrs Afia Anima Asare from Enterprise Life Insurance, Sunyani, Mr Stephen Agyapong Kodi, Fidelity Bank Berekum, Mr Smart Bredu, SSNIT office Sunyani who spoke on a variety of topics from financial planning, to branding and package oneself and ideas for a successful entrepreneurial journey.
The youth present were very grateful to the organizers as the shared some of the insight and knowledge they have acquired.
