Brief History
Methodist senior high (MESTEC) was started by the Biadan community, as a vocational / technical institute in the year 1998. The funding and management of the school was basically in the hands of the community. Mr. Christopher Nketia and later Mr. Philip Quaque was the head master of the school.
Due to financial constraint, the community could not continue, hence an open invitation to the churches. Methodist church Ghana- Berekum circuit responded to the call. The church took over the management of the school with Rev. Amo Ayensu as the headmaster in 1998.
It was absorbed fully by the government as a government assisted school in the year 2001 with J.K Doufour as after that.
He was succeeded by Mr. Kwabena Amponsah in the year 2005
The current Headmaster is Mr. Emmanuel K. Nsiah took over as substantive Headmaster on September 2007.
Programmes offered
The school runs five programs namely General Arts, General Agriculture, Home Economics, Technical and Business.
Number Of staff
The school is staffed with 60 personnel made up of 46 males and 14 females.
Out of the males, there are 23 each for teaching and non teaching staff. Out of the female staff, 4 are teaching staff and 10 non teaching staff.
Aims of the school
The school aims at providing generally quality education in General Arts, Agricultural, Technical, Home economics and Business education within the catchment area of Biadan in the Berekum Municipality.

Achievements
Notwithstanding the tender age of the school, it has striven to excel in areas of sports, quizzes and academic spheres.
The school won the Milo games in soccer in the year 2007.
On academics, the school had 100% in the year 2007 and 2008 WASSCE results. The school also has more qualified teachers.
