Berekum Chelsea showed a spectacular performance in the new Ghana premier league as matchday 1 kicked off today 29th of December, 2019.
After the infamous Kwasi Nyantakyi saga which saw the overhaul of the Ghana Football Association under the auspices of the FIFA normalization committee, the Ghana Premier League is back with a brand new look after a long break.
The committee put together various structures to make the association a credible one which saw the election of a new FA president Mr Kerk Okraku in October.
The first major task was to commence the various football leagues. The premier league which started today saw 18 clubs playing at various centres.
Berekum Chelsea travelled to Accra to face Hearts of Oak. The game kicked off at 3 pm. Berekum Chelsea's Jona Attuquaye scored the only goal of the game in the 34th minutes.
It should be emphasized that the Blues have made a great mark by beating Accra hearts of Oak in their first away game.
Berekum Chelsea will be playing Liberty Professionals next week 4th of January, 2020 at the Berekum Golden City Park.
Aduana FC won by 4 goals to 0 against Inter Allies in Dormaa Ahenkro.
