Hon Yiadom-Boakye Gets Overwhelming Affirmation From The Assembly

With the recent boycotts and refusal by the various assemblies to confirm appointed municipal chief executives, one would be sceptical about a 100% confirmation by assembly members in these times.

The unprecedented and overwhelming affirmation of the newly appointed MCE of Berekum has indeed indicated that the President got the right person.

The raging support Hon. Opoku Yiadom-Boakye got from the assembly is truly a good sign of better things to happen to Berekum. 62 members of the assembly who were present, all voted for the newly appointed MCE.

His message must have gone down very well with the assembly for all to have voted him in. In his acceptance speech, he called for unity, which he believes would help develop Berekum  to the level all anticipate.

The key areas he indicated to tackle in the immediately are

Enhancing the Youth in Agric program

Promotion of Commercial  Initiatives

Providing Clean Water

Tackling the issues of poor Sanitation, bad Roads

And enhancing Education in the municipality.

This indeed indicates that he has a clear understanding  of some  of the pertaining  challenges in Berekum.

The two MPs of Berekum Hon Kwaku Agyenim-Boateng and Hon Dr. Kwabena Twum Nuama were present and indeed indicated their strong support for Hon. Opoku Yiadom-Boakye

We wish him well in his tenure and hope to see drastic measures towards the mitigation of the challenges Berekum face.
