T he judicial committee of the Brong Ahafo house of chiefs, who is handling the Berekum chieftaincy dispute yesterday sat on the case close to 3 hours.
They were supposed to continue proceedings from today 8th of February to tomorrow 9th of February 2012. But after proceedings yesterday, the chairman of the committee made it known that, he wouldn't be available on the two subsequent days and thus adjourned the case to the 20th and the 21st of March 2012.
Over 60 youth from Berekum were at the court to demonstrate their interest in the case. Most of the youth were not happy about the adjournment to next month and hope the case is accelerated for them to have a substantive and recognized chief in Berekum, to help bring development to the town.
