AKAB School Complex, formerly called “KAMPS” was established in 1983 by Mr.Bismark Enning. The school was first located behind Damoah Hotel. It grew fast within two years which consequently led to the relocation of the School at a place opposite Berekum College of Education. After twelve years, that place was also found to be small to accommodate the increasing number of pupils, therefore,it was relocated once again to its present site - a place off the Dormaa road, behind the Holy Family Hospital.
The school has got a lot of policies ranging from schorlarship to brilliant and the needy pupil, tuition free for all children in the nursery section .
