With just about six months into the launch of the Mobile Number Portability system, figures available to Citi Business New indicate that successful porting is now 50 percent more than the National Communications Authority.
The National Communication Authority (NCA) together with the consultant on the projected estimated that about 120,000 porting will be successful after one year of its existence. {jcomments on}
But figures available to Citi Business News show that successful porting has reached over 170,000. The figures are however expected to rise before the end of 2011.
As at October the number of successful porting had reached a little over one thousand.
The successful porting indicates that mobile phones uses are generally not happy about the services provided by their operators, hence the continuous shift from one operator to another in search of better service.
