After defeating Kumasi Asante Kotoko by two goals to nil, the chairman of Berekum Arsenal Football club, Alhaji Yakubu Imoro on behalf of the management of the club, has expressed his sincerest gratitude to their numerous teaming supporters for their wonderful support before, during and after their match with Kotoko.
He said, before the match, people were speculating that Arsenal always intimidate visiting clubs to win their matches and this ignited the management to persuade the PLB to telecast their match with Kotoko live to prove their critics wrong and this has come to pass as the whole wide world saw what actually happened at Berekum last Sunday. A management member of Kotoko has sent a congratulatory message to Berekum Arsenal. The chairman said history is made all because of the massive support they enjoyed from their teaming fans.
He was speaking on a sport program hosted by Shalom Radio on Monday 26th April 2010 and pledge to continue to beat Kumasi Asante Kotoko anytime they play at Berekum. He continues by saying that beating Kotoko is the easiest thing to do on this earth.
