Yesterday, Ghana Black Stars escaped by the skin of the teeth into the 1/16th stage of the historic world cup on the African soil and as the Only Africa team to get to the that stage.
The fate of the stars were determined by the Aussies as they beat the much tipped side Serbia in an unexpected 2-1 victory.
Even though Ghana lost to Germany 1-0 in the match that was said to be the battle of the Boateng brothers . It did not amount to much as the defeat was not enough to exit the Stars from the 2nd round of the competition. Kevin Prince Boateng of Ghana and Jerome Boateng of Germany who are half brothers did not find themselves at the same side because the decision of the two as to whether to play for their mother or father land, set them enemies in the world of football.
The question on many supporters of the Black Stars is; can the Stars repeat history by once again showing the U.S.A the exit from the world cup as they face each other on Saturday 26th June at exactly 6:30pm ?
An interview on Eurosport with the U.S. Coach , he said he will do everything possible to stop the 2006 world cup experience with Ghana.
