The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Berekum West District of the Bono Region, Hon Isaac Osei on the 13th of February 2020, donated ten ( 10) ceiling fans to St Augustine SHS and Jamdede M/A JHS.
Hon Isaac Osei gave seven (7) ceiling fans to St Augustine SHS at Nsarpor and three (3) to Jamdede M/A Junior High School all in Berekum West District. In 2019, he (DCE) donated thirty (30) bags of cement and dustbins to St Augustine SHS to help develop the school.
St. Augustine's Senior High School is a relatively new school which is under the auspices of the Catholic Church of Berekum Deanery.
Speaking to Berekumcity.com, he said. "I am giving a lot of attention to the educational sector because the students or pupils are our future leaders", he pointed out.
According to him, he will do all that he can to raise the standard of education in the district.
The headmaster of St Augustine SHS, Rev Father Hubert Asante Kumi thanked the DCE for his kind support given to schools in the district. He applauded him for always giving them a helping hand when they fall on him for assistance.
He said the ceiling fans will be fixed at the appropriate classrooms to help ventilate the classrooms.
Father Hubert, however, appealed for more assistance and extended the appeal to corporate institutions and individuals to come to their aid of the school to help improve infrastructure.
