The leadership of Berekuman Citizens Association yesterday Monday 6 July 2020 paid a courtesy call on the Principal of Berekum College of Education, Mr Prince Yeboah Marfo to honour him on his efforts in making Berekum College of Education one of the top-notch colleges in the country.
The Executives of the Association showed gratitude to the Principal for the impact he has made on the school since he assumed office in 2012-2013.
Speaking at the presentation of the citation at Berekum College of Education administration hall, the Global Chairman, Mr Kofi Kyere Diabour said the association has seen the effort the Principal is making in the school which has led to it being The First and Best College of Education In Ghana, 2019, and thus say Ayekoo. He also thank the staff and workers of the college in producing some of the finest personnel for the Ghana Education Service.
Mr Kofi Kyere Diabour encouraged him to do more and promised that Berekumman Citizens Association will support him to see through his ambitions for the school.
In receiving the citation, Mr Prince Yeboah Marfo expressed his sincere gratitude to the association for monitoring his good works in the school. He pointed out that among all the Colleges of Education in Ghana, the school is part of the four best as far as infrastructure is concerned. He said the school has gotten recognition in Ghana and abroad and very soon it will become a full chartered public university.
He thanked the Association for the honour done him and acknowledged that the development in the school is largely due to the committed efforts of the staff and workers of the college.
Some of the personalities present at the ceremony were the acting local Chairman, Professor Obeng Ofori who is also the VC of Catholic University College, Fiapre, local women's organizer, Mrs Adwoa Benewaa Hinneh, Madam Juliana Aningnakwa, Ms Victoria Brobbey (Mama Vic) founding members, Mr O.D Fenteng, Vice Principal, Berekum College of Education.
