On behalf of The MP for Berekum East constituency, Hon. Kwabena Twum Nuamah, sod has been cut for the construction of ten modern aqua privy water closet toilet facilities at Mpatapo, Mpatasie and Biadan all in Berekum East constituency of the Brong Ahafo Region. The facilities would be constructed within four months through the Ministry of Special Development Initiative, Ghana.
In an event on Wednesday 4th of April 2018, the Berekum East Constituency party chairman of the NPP who stood in for the MP, Chairman Stephen Kwaku Kankam said, the contractor should do a good work and make use of qualified local artisans. He hinted that, party officials will from time to time visit the sites to monitor the progress of work.
Speaking to the consultant O J B engineering, the contract has been awarded to LOMENF Company Limited. The company is to commence work immediately and has been encouraged to cooperate with the people of these three communities to assist them do a quality job.
The Chief of Mpatapo, Nana Ofori Asare II said the communities are prepared to assist the contractor to do a good work.
Members of the communities, who were present during the sod cutting ceremony, expressed their profound gratitude to the MP of Berekum East and the Nana Addo’s government for not neglecting and giving them their share of the national cake.
